Romix Stud Feed with oats is a fully balanced ration formulated for brood mares during pregnancy and lactation. This Stud Feed is also recommended for feeding working stallions, foals and yearlings. It is very important that a broodmare is fed correctly during the last trimester of her pregnancy. Sixty percent of foetal development occurs during the last three months of pregnancy, whilst forty percent of the foal’s skeletal structure develops inside the mare, The mare’s milk yield is dependent not just on genetics but also on energy and nutrient intake during the last three months. Therefore, it is very important that mares are fed on a balanced ration throughout pregnancy.

Feeding Instructions:
Feed dry mares 2 – 3 kg, pregnant mares 3 – 4 kg, lactating mares 6 – 8 kg, yearlings 4 – 6 kg daily according to body weight, condition, reproduction stage and growth rate, with ad lib good quality hay.
