A high energy cube ration formulated to sustain competition horses and ponies in medium to hard work. Adult horses in hard work require extra energy and nutrients to fuel their efforts. Horses that work at speed require simple carbohydrates to ensure that there is adequate muscle glycogen for the fast-twitch fibers. Mature horses have higher need for energy than for protein and therefore this higher energy ration is ideal for the adult performance horse.
